Tractor-Trailer Hits Woman On Highway
A woman from St. Louis, MO is in critical condition after she was struck by a tractor-trailer on Wednesday evening. After getting out of her stalled vehicle on the Interstate, the semi struck her car and then hit her. Police say the driver of the truck tried to stop and switch lanes but was unable to do so.
Having a stalled vehicle in any time can be a scary and stressful situation. It is important to know what to do should this occur. For instance, you should always turn on your hazard safety lights as soon as your vehicle shuts down or malfunctions. If you are in the middle of the road and cannot get to a shoulder, it is best to stay in your vehicle until the proper help arrives. Also, you should always have a plan in mind for if this were to occur. You may want to keep the number of a reputable tow company or roadside assistance handy for emergencies.
