Ford Recalls About 4,000 Trucks Due to Transmission Problems
Ford Motor Co. is recalling about 4,000 of their pickup trucks, mainly in the United States, because they could slip into reverse and increase the risk of a crash according to the NHTSA. The report notes that the recall affects “3,976 of F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 Super Duty trucks from model year 2015,” which are “equipped with 6.2 liter gasoline or 6.7 liter diesel engines, and 6R140 transmissions.” The report also states that the vehicle could go into reverse while the driver is shifting from park to drive.
Ford will notify all owners if their vehicle meets the recall requirements by mail and is expected to begin repairs in Mid-May.
