Attorneys Garner, Gregg Give CLE Webinar on Lawsuits in Rural Missouri

On May 7, 2021, two of our top trial attorneys at Strong Law, P.C. presented a free accredited continuing legal education (CLE) webinar on “How to Get Decent Verdicts in Rural, Red-State Missouri (and Even During a Pandemic).”

Attorneys Steven Garner and Chandler Gregg discussed the primary points a prosecutor must consider when arguing a case before a conservative judge and jury, particularly when the deck is already stacked against the plaintiff. Sadly, many personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits are looked down on as “frivolous,” no matter how much an accident has upended the plaintiff’s life.

Several of the topics covered during the CLE webinar included:

• Identifying and getting rid of bad jurors
• Navigating the common leanings of rural jurors
• Centering your client’s case around unarguable truths, per law
• Ensuring your client’s claim does not meet the criteria for a bad faith claim

The webinar also delved into how these topics apply to defective product cases, such as litigation concerning defective skid steers.
